Financial Policies and Procedures:

- Payment of fees is due in ADVANCE.

- Weekly Fees are due on MONDAY for the coming week. Please include your child's name and dates that the payment covers on all checks.

- The FULL weekly fee is due regardless of attendance, holidays, or closings (including teacher workdays) whether your child is in attendance or not.

- Enrollment will be terminated if payments are more than two (2) weeks past due.

- Fees will only be pro-rated for the first week of Afterschool.

- In advance, parents can make payments weekly, bi-monthly, or monthly (if arrangements have been made). Payment is expected for months that have five (5) weeks in them.

- A $25.00 NSF check FEE will be charged on all returned checks. After two (2) NSF checks, the parent will be on a "cash only" basis for the remainder of the school year.

Inclement Weather

Listed below are the guidelines that will be followed in the event of hazardous weather conditions:

- If an early morning announcement is made over the local radio station (WSOC 103.7) to the effect that schools will be closed for the day because of hazardous weather conditions, the After School Program will be CLOSED.
- If, prior to the end of a regular school day, schools are closed and children are sent home because of impending hazardous weather conditions, the After School Program will be cancelled as well.
- If, on a regular school day, the weather conditions begin to become hazardous during the afternoon between 2:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m., the parents should pick up their children as early as possible. Under such conditions, the site director will attempt to call parents who have not arrived to pick up their children.
- Parents should make arrangements to pick up their child at school is school closes early.

Illness

If a child has symptoms of illness or signs of communicable disease, he/she will be isolated from the other children while the parents are contacted to pick him/her within an hour of notification. Any contagious illness may require a doctor's note for re-admission. Staff is expected to instruct children on State Regulations for washing hands in an effort to reduce contagious illness.

Medication Administration

An application with emergency information listed is required for every student in the After School Program.

Should it be necessary for your child to receive medication at the After School Care Program, the procedure below should be followed:

1. The parent must complete the Medication Administration Consent Form.

2. Medicine must be brought in the original container.

3. The child's name must be on the container.

4. The parent must provide clear written directions for administration of medication.

If the child sustains a minor injury such as a small cut or scrape, the staff will administer first aid at the center.

Children will be released only to the parents or guardians or to the person whose names appear on their application. If a child is to be released to anyone other than the persons listed, the After School Director must be notified.

Safety

Parents should contact the program if a child will not attend the After School Care Program on a regular scheduled day. Please contact either the site director or leave a message with the church office prior to After School Care hours.

SignIn/SignOut Procedures for Parents

Parents must sign out with the date and time of their child each day. On workdays and summer day camps, parents are required to sign their child in.

Pick up authorizations designated by the parent/guardian on the application are the only people allowed to pick up a child. If a child is to be released to anyone other than the person/s listed, the site director must be notified. I.D. may be required is someone unfamiliar to the After School Care staff arrives for your child.

Snacks

Nutritious snacks such as pretzels, muffins, popcorn, etc. are provided each day. A snack menu will be posted in the classroom. If your child has special dietary requirements, restrictions, food allergies, please make sure to list them on their application.

Schedule

The After school staff will provide a variety of supervised activities for your child. These activities will include arts and crafts, group games, indoor and outdoor games, story time, and homework time. There will be special activities and programs planned for holidays.

Teacher Workdays

The program will operate on Teacher Workdays. A morning and afternoon snack will be provided. Lunch is $2.00/day per child. Parents are asked to register one (1) week in advance for Teacher Workdays with the After School staff so that adequate staffing can be arranged based on the number of children who plan to attend.
